Avalon Arbor

The Avalon Arbor is one of their leading pellet burners, and has a nice look to it.  Its one of the few cream or enamel stoves out there.  It is a downdraft burners, so its not as efficient as a standard non-cat burner or a catalytic wood stove.  The upside is that it kicks out a lot of heat and can warm a large area.  Its rated for 73000BTU and heat up to 2000 sq. ft!  Its also nice to have a top load option to boot.  It can also fit some big logs, up to 21”.

Initially, some first buyers on these complained about some issues with control settings and gasket leaks.  These issues were repaired under warranty by Travis Industries and should be a non-issue going forward.
New, these will go for about $1500 or so with a few discounts.

One thing to check is that with the air control open it can overfire fairly easily.  Be sure to monitor that issue when starting.  It seems like the control should be closed down nearly completely once the temperature gets around 550F or so.  With the proper adjustments, you can easily get up to 9+ hours of burn time and up to 12+ with a good wood like oak.  Its especially critical with this stove to follow the manual.
The blower is also a good workhouse, and should suffice at the low or medium setting without a lot of noise.

Note that this is the same stove as the Lopi Leyden, as both are made by Travis industries.
